The GRASPP program, a two-year grant from the Governor's Crime Commission is close to completion! The strong partnership between Tar River Region United Way, Nash County Sheriff's Office and Rocky Mount Police Department has been successful in educating over 8,960 adults and students in our community on gang awareness and youth violence prevention!
Thank you to our program co-owners, staff, and collaborating partners! Without you, we would not have been able to meet our program objectives, nor experience the success we have achieved over these past two years!
Some of our biggest supporters include The Tar River Region United Way Director, Ginny Mohrbutter, City of Rocky Mount Mayor David Combs, NC General Assembly Representative Angela Bryant, and our own City of Rocky Mount Police Chief John Manley.
Special thanks to the GRASPP team members: Gang Specialist Cynthia Jackson, Program Director Elizabeth Scott, City of Rocky Mount Lieutenant Brian McGrath & Officer Ryan Hepler, and Nash County Sheriff’s Office Investigator Samuel Weeks. We are forever indebted to you for the countless hours you have provided sharing with the community your gang expertise through presentations and training sessions!
Thank you!
